Inexpensive, very good Chinese food. Most small town Chinese restaurants in the US have to have diluted and bland flavoring, to appeal to the bland taste desires of the average American. So, since St Stephen is across the river from Calais ME, it goes without saying that both Chinese places in Calais have deliberately bland food, to try to appeal to non-Chinese taste buds. Golden Chinese is not in this category. Their food is nicely seasoned, as is most authentic Chinese food in general, and at this price point, is a very good value for people who want to have good tasting Asian food. Their buffet is a little bland, but ordering the curries or the Szechuan dishes from the menu will be very satisfying. I have been there three times already in one week.

Good food and reasonably priced. Nothing fancy but everything was very good. I will be returning here for my movie and Chinese food nights.
